Privacy notice

Effective and last updated: October 28, 2026

This notice explains how information is handled when you visit racheldelphine.com or subscribe to Rachel Delphine’s author updates.

Who is responsible and how to contact me

This website and author mailing list are operated by Rachel Delphine, an independent author based in Argentina. For privacy questions or requests, email waterdelphi@gmail.com or reply to an author email. Please identify the email address involved in your request; reasonable verification may be needed to protect your information.

Information collected and why

The signup form asks for your email address. Kit, the email service used for this list, also processes subscription and confirmation records, signup source and timestamps, delivery and unsubscribe information, and technical information associated with the form, such as IP address and browser/device information. If you reply to an email, your message and any details you choose to share are used to respond.

Your information is used to send the confirmation you request, deliver occasional book news and author updates after you confirm, manage the mailing list, answer enquiries, prevent abuse, and respect unsubscribe requests. Subscribing is optional. You can read the website without subscribing; without an email address, author updates cannot be delivered to you.

Your subscription and email tracking

Newsletter emails are sent with your consent, using an email confirmation step. You can withdraw that consent at any time using the unsubscribe link in an email. Unsubscribing stops future author marketing emails; it does not automatically erase all historical subscription records.

Kit’s email reporting can record email opens through tracking images and link clicks through tracked links. These reports help assess delivery and reader engagement, and may be affected by privacy features or automated security checks. Blocking remote images in your email application can limit open tracking; unsubscribing stops future newsletter messages.

Service providers, cookies, and technical data

Kit, Inc. processes mailing-list information to provide email services. Its Data Processing Addendum explains its processing of subscriber information. Kit’s privacy policy describes its other privacy practices.

This website is hosted through OpenAI Sites and delivery/security infrastructure including Cloudflare. Those providers may process IP addresses, request logs, browser information, and security cookies to serve and protect the website. The embedded Kit signup form may use cookies or similar storage to recognise subscription status and support form functions and reporting.

No Google Analytics, advertising pixel, or separate visitor analytics script has been added to this website. Google Search Console is used to review search visibility; it does not require an analytics script on this site. Browser settings let you restrict cookies or clear stored data, although this may affect form or security functions.

Sharing and international processing

I do not sell or rent the mailing list. Information is made available to providers as needed to operate the website and emails, and may be disclosed where legally required or necessary to protect rights and prevent abuse. Providers may process information outside your country, including in the United States. Kit’s Data Processing Addendum describes its international-transfer safeguards.

Amazon and social media links take you to independent websites. Their own privacy notices apply when you visit them. Book purchases are handled by the retailer; this website does not collect payment-card details.

Retention and security

Subscription information is retained while needed to operate your subscription. Limited records may remain afterward to honour opt-outs, establish consent, resolve issues, or meet legal obligations. Enquiry records are kept as needed to handle the enquiry and any related obligations. Provider logs and backups follow the relevant provider’s retention processes. No fixed deletion period is promised for every category.

Reasonable safeguards are used to protect information, but no website or email service can guarantee absolute security.

Your privacy rights

Depending on applicable law, you may request access to your information, correction, deletion, or restriction, object to certain processing, request a portable copy, and withdraw consent. Contact me at the address above to make a request. Necessary legal or opt-out records may be retained where permitted.

For information about rights under Argentina’s personal data protection law or making a complaint, visit the Agencia de Acceso a la Información Pública (AAIP). You may also contact the relevant data-protection authority where you live.

Changes to this notice

This notice will be updated when practices change. The date above identifies the current version. Where required, material changes will be communicated separately and fresh consent requested.
